Jesus said, “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” (Mark 11:24)

Introduction: How many times have we earnestly prayed for something important, "hoping" that it will come to pass, and then prayed for it again, and again, and again?

In Mark 11:24, Jesus teaches us that the key to receiving what we ask for in His name is not merely "hope," but bold and unwavering faith. Biblical hope is not wishful thinking; it’s a confident expectation rooted in God’s promises (Romans 8:24-25). But Jesus calls us to go further — He calls us to a faith that believes without doubting.

Message: When you bring those big prayers to God, you also need to bring your BIG faith! This faith doesn’t waver, doubt, or second guess. It’s the kind of faith that stands firm, trusting in God’s character and His promises.

Here’s a practical way to strengthen your faith in prayer:

  • Write It Down: When you pray for something significant, write it down as if it has already happened. For example:

    • On Monday, September 2, I prayed for God to heal me of this disease — and He did.

    • On Monday, September 2, I prayed for God to save my marriage — and He did.

    • On Monday, September 2, I prayed for God to free me from addiction — and He did.

    • On Monday, September 2, I prayed for God to release me from debt — and He did.

  • Believe It’s Done: Truly believe with all your heart that it’s not going to happen “someday,” but that it was done at that very moment. Jesus invites us to have this kind of faith — the faith that receives even before seeing the outcome.

  • Thank and Praise God Daily: After you’ve prayed, don’t keep asking for the same thing every morning. Instead, wake up each day thanking and praising God for having already answered your prayer. This is an expression of your faith and trust in Him.

  • Stand on God’s Promises: It is the integrity of God's character that makes it impossible for Him to lie (Hebrews 6:18). That’s why we can hold tightly to God's word without wavering or hesitation because He is faithful and reliable in keeping His promises (Hebrews 10:23).

Encouragement: God has promised, through the words of His son Jesus, that we can actualize His blessings through “true” faith. This doesn’t mean that we will always get what we ask for in the way we expect it. Sometimes, God’s answer is different from what we imagined, but it is always for our ultimate good. As we pray, let us align our desires with His will, trust in His timing, and believe in His goodness.

Call to Action: Let your FAITH be TRUE! As we close, I invite you to take a moment to reflect on the prayers you’ve been lifting up to God. Are you praying with true, unwavering faith? Let’s commit today to deepen our trust in God, standing firm on His promises, and living out our faith with boldness and confidence.

Let’s pray together now, believing that what we ask in faith, according to God’s will, is already done. Amen!
