In our daily walk, it’s not just about knowing what’s right — it’s about doing what we’ve learned.
In Philippians 4:9, the Apostle Paul reminds us to put into practice the teachings and examples of faith, trusting that the peace of God will follow.
“Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me — everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you.” Philippians 4:9
Jesus taught us to live out the two great commandments: to love God and to love others with all of our being (Matthew 22:37-39). But how can we do a better job of daily practicing His teachings? Here are a few practical ways:
Love God through daily devotion – Make time each day to pray, read Scripture, and reflect on God’s presence in your life. This is how we deepen our relationship with Him and invite His guidance into everything we do.
Serve others with kindness – Small acts of service, like helping a neighbor, listening to someone who is struggling, or offering words of encouragement, are powerful ways to show Christ’s love to others.
Forgive quickly and completely – Jesus taught us to forgive as we have been forgiven. When we let go of grudges and offer grace, we free our hearts to experience God’s peace.
Be a peacemaker – In a world filled with conflict, we are called to be ambassadors of peace. Whether it’s resolving disputes with family, in business, or working for justice in the community, we can bring the peace of Christ into every situation.
Practice generosity – Giving to those in need (whether it’s your time, resources, or a listening ear) reflects the heart of Jesus. He showed us that true love often requires sacrifice.
By daily practicing and living out these examples, we not only grow in faith, but also create a ripple effect of God’s love in the world around us.
Let us strive to live out our faith today, knowing that God’s peace will always be with us when we do.
